In 2016, the International Committee of the Red Cross established a multi-year partnership with the Rafik Hariri University Hospital (RHUH). By reinforcing the hospital infrastructure and building the capacity of caregivers, this collaboration aims to increase access to quality healthcare for the most vulnerable populations. Over 17'000 patients were supported to date. The Agence Française de Développement joined the partnership in 2019 and is funding this project until 2022. The hospital has been on the frontline since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic: 650 infected patients were admitted to the hospital and 350 have fully recovered. أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة في تقرير عن حالات الكوليرا في لبنان، أنه لم يسجل اي اصابة جديدة في الساعات ال24 الماضية ، فيما سجل العدد التراكمي للحالات المثبتة 239، كما لم يتم تسجيل اي حالة وفاة ، وسجل العدد التراكمي للوفيات 10″.
